How do I obtain a one-time password?

You obtain a one-time password by pressing the button on your token.

What are the token history activities and their meanings?

Activity

Description

Activate User

A user ID has been activated to this token.

Activate User - failure User has failed the Activation process. The user may have entered an incorrect serial number or one-time password.

Cancel Token Request

An administrator has cancelled an unfulfilled request.

Deactivate User - Reason:xxx User has been disassociated from the token by an administrator. A deactivation reason is provided.

Disable User

A user has failed five authentication or synchronization attempts. This user is unable to use this token for authentication until enabled by an administrator.

Enable User

An administrator has restored use of the token for authentication for a disabled user.

Ship Tokens - Request Number:xxx

The token request has been fulfilled and has been given to the shipping provider for delivery. The request number is provided for internal tracking purposes.

Revoke Token - Reason:xxx

A token has been permanently removed from use by an administrator. A revocation reason is provided.

Synchronize Token

The user has successfully restored the sequence between the token and the bank's authentication services.

Synchronize Token - failure

User has entered one-time passwords which do not match those expected by the bank's authentication services.

Authenticate OTP - Success for "transaction"

User has entered the correct one-time password for authentication.

Authenticate OTP - Failure for "transaction" User did not successfully enter a valid one-time password.

What do I do if I don't have a token?

You will need to contact your administrator to provide you with or request a token on your behalf. If you are an administrator and have not yet requested your token, you will have to do so. This can be accomplished by selecting Request Token from the Token Administration options. Once you receive a token, you must activate it.

What does it mean to activate my token?

Activating your token assigns the device to your user ID, synchronizes it, and enables it for use in authentication.

What does it mean to synchronize my token?

Synchronizing your token restores the sequence between the token and the bank's authentication services.

What if my one-time password is not accepted?

You will have the option to re-enter your one-time password up to five times before your token is disabled.

What is a token?

A token is a one-time password device that an authorized user of a system is given to aid in authentication.

What does it mean to create temporary password?

Temporary password will be created for your token with the mentioned expiration period. Within this period you can use both temporary password and the OTP from your device.
